Ovia 2019:Oghede community head affirms support for Denco

The Community head of Oghede, in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo, Chief Joseph Uhunmwangho, has appealed for voters’ education ahead of the general elections.

Uhunmwangho made the appeal when the campaign team of the Ovia Federal Constituency All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mr Dennis Idahosa, belted at his domain on Sunday.

He said that the voters education became necessary in order to avoid votes voiding usually occasioned by lack of proper education, especially on how to thump print.

The community head who assured Idahosa of their support, said because of his past deeds while not holding political position, is their reason for supporting him.

"Our people need to be educated on how to thump print so that their votes for you (Idahosa) will not be wasted. We do not want any of our votes for you to be canceled or voided because of mistakes on our part,” he stated.

Earlier, the community spokesman, Chief Felix Aghahuwa, regretted that those they had elected as their representatives had failed them.

He called on politicians to always strive to fulfil their campaign promises to the people.

According to him, “Our past representatives have failed us, but we will support you, and we hope and pray that you not fail us.”

The APC candidate, Dennis Idahosa, urged the people not to fall again for the antics of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Idahosa who said the PDP candidates for the poll would come to them with promises and appeal for their support, said, “Let them know that their previous promises were never fulfilled.”
